Frankfurt is a city that maintains the balance between modernity and antiquity, the bustle of a big city and the tranquility of its old town and it transmits its river trade and culture. In fact, it’s one of those cities where I do not mind living.

It is considered the most international city in Germany is the country’s financial capital has a privileged location in the hub of communications, which has been used as a center of trade since the twelfth century, attracting people from the Baltic and the Mediterranean.

Overview of Frankfurt, Germany

The most animated of the city is on the Hauptwache, where the prison is famous for having been a prisoner of Goethe. Its large and modern skyscrapers that have dubbed him Mainhatten, such as Commerzbank headquarters, designed by Norman Foster.

In the old surprise us Roemer, a set of bourgeois houses of medieval times, today occupied by units of the City Council. Right in front of this plaza, we’ll Gerechtigkeitsbrunnen, ie, the Fountain of Justice, which tells the story that sprang red and white wine during the coronation of the Emperors.

Roemer, set in medieval Frankfurt, Germany

South of the square, is the Wertheym Haus, home of the only Gothic-style structure that survived the bombings of World War II. The church of San Pablo is just a few meters, and is famous for hosting an important historical fact, the first German National Assembly elected after the revolution of March, and is the symbol of freedom and democracy in Germany.

The Goethe House Museum, home to the author’s birthplace, is beautiful to watch as first the restoration work done is impressive, and secondly because it shows paintings and manuscripts of the greatest poet of the country.

The largest science museum in Germany is also in Frankfurt and shows the development of animal species over millions of years.

Once evening falls, the street Berger will give us a good time in their taverns, bars and restaurants.

Frankfurt is a city that does not disappoint, quite the contrary, it is surprising and transmits that balance between modernity and tradition are called.

What are the best tips to cut corners when in streets in Berlin, Munich and various corners in German?

1. Use the museum as a possible ticket. “My husband and I spent five days in Berlin and found a place that is really incredible, especially if you are in art museum. We buy tickets to the Museum Schaulust for three days at 19 euro and see the six museums, including the Pergamon museum. Tickets This also marks entry includes free audio tour, so it is very feasible. “

2. Take the bus. “Bus number 100 is the general public to look the streets to see scenery. Alexanderplatz from the route along the Unter den Linden to the Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten with many attractions along the way. Duration of trip is 26 minutes. If you have a Welcome Card, travel is free, if not you have to pay

3. Save during the holidays. “If you go to Berlin at Christmas, the streets around the Christmas Market is the free entertainment. Gluewein in the market at Christmas is usually one euro per cup. You can be drunk with wine, but be careful not to fall in with Spandau bag full of soccer-ball Christmas. ”

4. Sail. “All tickets for public transport is also used to enjoy a good trip with some of the ferry run BVG, Berlin’s Transit Authority. You will be free sailing for 20 minutes across the lake from the Wannsee S-Bahn station Wannsee lake to the other side, where you can use the bus express to return to the city center. ”

5. Surfing on the Internet to get the best hotel rates. “For a good hotel with cheap prices during the summer, order a room in the Hotel Mercure Hotel an der Charité at booking.com. Special summer price: three nights with breakfast: 240 euro / per double room (not per person!). This hotel is a modern and quiet hotel with breakfast service four stars. I lived there years ago and will return again.”

6. Setting up supplies from the store. “Galleria department store at Alexanderplatz (Berlin) has a fantastic food department on the ground floor, lots of stuff look for a picnic or food stock in the apartment, and lots of souvenirs (chocolate, mustard, and others), all cheaper than you need to pay in the department of food Ka De We. ”

7. Bring. “We bought a card that Berlin gave us unlimited access during our three days there. We ride bus number 100 many times when we walk around the city. We also take a tour around Berlin and get the discount cards because we have the Berlin . The tour are awesome and is good to start our journey. ”

8. Priceline works over there too. “I feel like a broken CD, but try Priceline. I just returned from the trip last weekend in Berlin yesterday, and pay 85 U.S. dollars per night. For the money, we get the Movenpick, which is one step above that you can expect with such a price. ”

9. Eating in a place local people eat. “In Berlin, if you have chance at Wannsee, step by in Lorretta am Wannsee. This place is near S-Bahn station, at the corner Potsdamer Chaussee. Get a brat, potato salad, wine, beer, and even for washing crepe mouth with a very reasonable price. ”

10. Understand and take advantage of the taxi system. “For the price of a taxi in Berlin (and also in some other city), if you walk down the 2 km distance you can ask for a short trip rate euros during the three-way below the 2 km. You must stop the current taxi ago requesting price move before the driver to activate the argo. Taxis can be cheaper rather than public transportation, depending on where you want to go and the number of people in the group.

The Federal republic of Germany is the most influential country of Europe. It has witnessed the most controversial facts of history like Nazism, Holy Roman Empire and the building and demolition of the Berlin wall.
Weather

The weather here is very unpredictable as there is a possibility of rain almost all months, so carry clothes accordingly. April and May are the months of spring which brings in full bloom of fruits and flowers. Months from May to September have very fine weather with sunny skies and offers the best time for traveling and site-seeing. People who have a passion for sports like swimming, hiking, and cycling can have the best time here during these months.
